Teaching steps:

Step 1: Greet students.

       1. Look at the picture of 1a, and write English words for the things in the picture.

       2. Read aloud the aims of the guide together.

Step 2: Self-exploration

       1. Learn to read the words on P87 .

         Read the words by ss.

         Read after the teacher.

         Read aloud by themselves.

         Check the pronunciation.

       2. Do self-exploration. (No discuss)

         Complete the vocabulary part

         Complete the listening part

         Complete the knowledge part      

Step 3: Cooperative communication

       1. Check the answers of self-exploration.

       2. Read aloud Grammar Focus.

       3. Complete 3a and 3b by discussing with a group.

       1. Ask ss to show the answers to the questions of self-exploration one by one.

       2. Role-play a conversation. Ask three groups to make dialogues.
